Why Klobexjournals Exists

Klobexjournals is a small independent editorial site about published research, with a particular eye on work coming out of Africa. It is written for students, early-career researchers, extension workers, librarians and curious readers who want to understand where a study fits before they cite it, teach from it or act on it.

What you will find here

Articles sit in three areas that often feed one another. A crop trial may rely on a molecular method, and both may only reach a wide audience through a regional journal that few people know how to evaluate.

  • African Journals looks at scholarly titles published on or about the continent, how they are indexed, how their peer review is described and how to judge whether a journal suits a given paper.
  • Agriculture Research explains field trials, soil and crop studies, livestock work and farming findings in plain language, including what a result can and cannot say about a different region.
  • Bioscience Research covers laboratory and life-science studies, from methods and study design to how to read an abstract without being misled.

How we work

The approach is practical. We read the original paper where we can, compare it with the journal’s own published policies and with reputable indexes, and say clearly when we are describing a study rather than endorsing it. Where a point is uncertain, or a finding has not been replicated, the article says so.

Research pages age quickly. Journals change names, move publishers or stop publishing, and findings get revised, so older articles are revisited and updated when something no longer holds.

Who it is for

You do not need a lab, a university login or a statistics degree to follow along. Explanations start from the question a reader is likely to have and build up from there.

Spotted an error?

If a fact is wrong, a reference has moved or a description of a journal is out of date, write to [email protected]. A fix goes into the article text itself, so the page you read is always the current version.
